👋🏻 Hello! I’m Ewan Carmichael, a leading policy and comms specialist and public appointee based in Glasgow.
I work across sectors to drive inclusive, people-centred change.

In my day job, I’m Policy & External Relations Manager at Quarriers, one of Scotland’s largest health and social care charities – championing the voices of the people we support.
In December 2025, I was appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills to the inaugural Board of Qualifications Scotland, the national body for accreditation and qualifications. I also co-convene the Learner Interest Committee.
I have further valuable governance experience as the current Vice-Chair of the Board at Alcohol Focus Scotland and a Board Director and Trustee of Iriss.
As an autistic person with ADHD, I’m passionate about using my lived experience to build inclusive leadership and governance across all sectors.
Proudly Ayrshire born, I now split my time between Glasgow and London.
